Theoretical and hands-on teaching

Sharpen Your Skills

The Data Analysis Core, in collaboration with the Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) and the Centre d’Investigation Clinique (CIC), offers hands-on courses to help researchers excel in their scientific work.

Who Can Join?

Open to Master’s students, PhDs, Postdocs, Research Engineers, and PIs at the Paris Brain Institute.

Where are courses held?

In-person courses are either taught in person by field experts at the Paris Brain Institute’s main building or at the Center for Data Science and A.I. at Rue du Chevaleret. In addition, we offer self-paces online courses.

What We Cover

Our program spans bioinformatics, statistics, modeling, image analysis and research methodologies, along with training on open-source tools like Git, OMERO, REDCap, and OPIDoR. We also provide regular sessions on crafting a Data Management Plan—essential for scientific project organization. The course catalogue evolves based on demand. Custom sessions for research teams are available—reach out if interested!

Upcoming in-person trainings

Online self-paced trainings

The DAC develops interactive, web-based courses based on shared or recurrent needs of the researchers at the Paris Brain Institute, but will be useful for the wider scientific community. Courses include a theoretical background, practical guides, and quizzes that provide the groundwork to be able to perform your own analyses.
